Stewart Title Guaranty Company has changed its requirements relating to the issuance of indemnities to other underwriters. Attached is a copy of Stewart Title Guaranty Companies Bulletin MGT-34 ("Bulletin"), which outlines the requirements needed for approval of an indemnification requests. Based on the attached Bulletin we have developed a checklist (attached) to be used when submitting indemnification requests for approval. The checklist should be utilized and forwarded with the required documentation to the appropriate Stewart Title Guaranty Company personnel for review and approval of the indemnification request.
In addition, the form of indemnification letter has been revised. Please use the new form of indemnification letter that is attached to the Bulletin. We recently formatted this form in Microsoft Word and it can be e-mailed to you upon request. In addition, the form is being formatted as an AIM document.
