RE: Carbon Monoxide Detector Requirements

Dear Associates:

Effective November 30, 2002 section 378 sub-section 5-a of the New York State Executive Law will take effect. This new subsection requires that every one, two family dwelling, condominium or cooperative used for residential purposes, whether new construction or offered for sale have installed, an operable carbon monoxide detector. Please feel free to contact your Stewart Title Offices in the event you have any questions.
