RE: Spousal Joinder on Conveyances

Dear Associates:

Stewart Title Guaranty Company currently requires the joinder of a spouse only if the conveyance we are being asked to insure is not a conveyance to a bonafide purchaser for value.

We would like you to request spousal joinder on all conveyances by an individual, however, we do not require you to do so.

The following requirement shall be used on all transactions:

"Note: If the conveyance to be insured hereunder is not a conveyance to a bonafide purchaser for value, designation of grantors marital status and spousal joinder, if applicable, is required."

Feel free to contact us if you need further clarification on this point.

We want to know your questions and concerns - please let us know what support we can offer you.
