Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database. Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

Dear Associates:
Please be advised to do no transactions with the individuals identified above without first obtaining written approval from underwriting counsel. The reason for this Alert is that the individuals passed a forged instrument which was reported to be an "Official Check" issued by Wachovia Bank out of Greensboro in a North Carolina office. Curtis presented a State Issued Identification Card from Virginia, which appears also to be a forged instrument. The check in question was for $322,000. This was for the cash purchase of a residence in the Orlando area and the Agent is taking the matter to the criminal authorities as well.
