RE: Richmond County Electronic Cover Sheet for Real Property Documents

Please be advised that as of June 1, 2005, the Richmond County Clerk will require that all real property documents submitted for recording to the County Register Division, including those that were first submitted prior to that date and are being resubmitted after, be accompanied by an electronic cover page.

The cover page is presently available on the Clerk's website at www.richmondcountyclerk.com and may also be produced at the Clerk's office at work stations available for public use. While use of the cover page is not required prior to June 1, it became available for use on May 2. It is required that an “account” be established by those wishing to access the cover page from the website. Similar to ACRIS, there will be an identification number assigned to each document at the inception of the process. In addition, recording fees and applicable taxes will be calculated automatically. Each document must have its own cover page and individual checks must be submitted for each document.

The County Register Division of the Richmond County Clerk may be reached at (718) 390-5396.
