Dear Associates:
On October 27, 2008, the Franklin County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas ordered The Guarantee Title and Trust Company ("Guarantee") into Liquidation in Case No. 08CVH07-10725. The Liquidation Order cancels all policies of insurance issued by Guarantee effective no later than 12:01 a.m. November 26, 2008. All Guarantee policyholders must secure coverage with another insurance company on or before November 26, 2008.
Effective immediately, issuing agents should not rely on any indemnity letters from Guarantee or indemnity coverage provided under the Indiana Mutual Indemnification Agreement in order to provide coverage under any policy or commitment issued by Stewart Title Guaranty.
