Before closing a transaction, all issuing offices must search the names of the parties to the transaction, including the seller, buyer/borrower, payoff lender and new lender, using the Special Alerts database. Go to the Special Alerts database to search for specific names, entities and properties.

On July 28, 2009 we issued Bulletin NY000405, prohibiting the use of surveys performed by Big Apple Surveyors in STIC underwriting. Said Bulletin remains in full force and effect. Since that Bulletin, we understand the principal of that firm has formed a new company.
Accordingly, this Alert shall serve as notice that STIC is extending the prohibition to include the following additional names:
