RE: Village of Island Park Tax information

Recently, Stewart has learned that tax records for the Village of Island Park, on Long Island, New York, have been destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.  The Municipal and Tax searchers are indicating that they cannot search lien information for open taxes and/or arrearages.

In the event you are asked to insure a title within the Village of Island Park, you must except all Village of Island Park taxes and municipal charges.  As an alternative, you may omit taxes with a paid in full receipt (original only) with supporting cancelled check.  The original receipt must be issued by the Village of Island Park and state that all current taxes and arrearages and all municipal charges, are paid in full through the date of closing.
