RE: UNDERWRITING - Revised Unlawful Inducements - Florida Department of Financial Services Issues Revised Rule

Dear Associates:

The Florida Department of Financial Services has adopted a revised rule intended to clarify its position on unlawful inducements. The revised rule lists specific examples of acts and practices which it holds to be violations of Florida’s Unfair Insurance Trade Practices Act, Section 626.9541, Florida Statutes. A copy of the rule, which takes effect on February 9, 2016, is provided in the link below for your reference.
