Dear Associates:
The Connecticut Insurance Department recently approved the 9% increase in title premiums effective as of March 1, 2020. This rate increase is consistent with the increases made by other title underwriters.
Software currently in use will be modified to reflect this rate change. If you have any questions concerning your software updates, please contact your agency representative. While the new rate is applicable to all transactions quoted on or after March 1, 2020, existing transactions quoted using the current rate will be honored during this transition.
Please contact your title production software vendor to get the new rate/form changes implemented in your system.
