RE: NY Recording Office Closures in light of COVID-19

Your team at Stewart Title Insurance Company is continually making calls, checking websites and taking information from the field to maintain an up-to-the-minute list of service closures and limitations at the 62 County Clerks of New York State.  We believe our list to be as contemporary as humanly possible. However, this list has changed several dozen times over the course of the day, and the information contained in any published list would, at this point, become outdated too quickly to be of use.  Stewart Title Insurance Company’s Underwriting Counsel are working remotely and remain available to answer all questions.  If you have a transaction that is closing in a county where the Clerk’s offices might be closed, or might close before funding the transaction, or are otherwise limiting services, please contact Stewart Title Insurance Company’s Underwriting Counsel for guidance on how to proceed. Above all, please stay safe, and continue to take measures to protect yourself, your co-workers and your families.

In the event you have any questions regarding the above please contact Stewart Title Legal Department at 212-922-0050 and speak with any Underwriting Counsel.
