LEGISLATIVE UPDATE - Senate Bill 765 Authorizing Remote Online Notarization (RON)
Dear Associates:
The Oregon Legislative Assembly has passed Senate Bill 765, authorizing Remote Online Notarization (RON) in Oregon, and it became effective on June 17, 2021. This law will solidify the current emergency order allowing the use of RON. See bulletin OR2020002, below. Enacting this law will not change our current practice of working with an approved RON provider. Please refer to Virtual Underwriter for a current list of approved RON platforms and additional resources.
