RE: Upcoming Changes to our Agent Authorization Letter Process

We would like to inform you about some exciting changes to our Agent Authorization Letter request process. Agents now have the option to create and print standard Agent Authorization Letters within their title production programs, saving the need to send in an additional request. This option is available in the following TPS programs:

  • Stewart Connect
  • TrackerPro
  • SnapClose
  • TitleFusion

Please note, this does not include any special authorization letter requests, outside of the standard AAL, or any letter that requires a live signature. For requests of this nature, you will still need to submit a request for processing. Examples of a special authorization letter are as follows:

  • County Clerk Check Guaranty/Indemnity Letters
  • Town/County/Departmental Letters
  • Requests to modify approved language of a standard AAL (requires Underwriter approval)

As we approach the end of 2023, we will be phasing out the NYAgentLetter@stewart.com request inbox. Until that time, you can still submit a request to this group for any of the above-mentioned letters, however, we encourage our agents to familiarize themselves with the AAL functions within their title production programs. Your Agency Representatives are available to assist with any questions/training on how to use this feature.

On January 1, 2024, a new email group will be created to handle any requests for Special Authorization Letters. Additional guidance will follow as we approach this date.

In the event you have any questions regarding the above, please contact Stewart Title Legal Department at 212-922-0050 and speak with any Underwriting Counsel.
