Dear Associates:
We have been made aware of a cyber-attack that has taken place with the Jefferson County, Kentucky computer system. This has resulted in the closure of the Clerk’s office until further notice.
If you are handling a transaction in Jefferson County, please require the buyer and seller to sign the Gap Indemnity linked HERE. Please inform any lender involved in the transaction that there will be a delay in recording/providing recording information. Gap coverage is provided in the policies themselves, so no additional steps are needed to give appropriate coverage to any insured.
We are hopeful this is a short-lived event, but will update you with any further necessary changes or guidance.
