RE: RATES AND/OR FORMS UPDATE - North Dakota Rate Manual Revised Schedule of Charges - Effective July 31, 2024

Dear Associates:

Attached please find the revised Schedule of Charges for Title Insurance in the State of North Dakota. These changes become effective on July 31, 2024.

The revisions to the Schedule of Charges modify the following sections of the rate manual:


Basic Schedule of Charges.

  • Owners Policy (OP) & Loan Policy (LP) tiers and rate changes:
    • Eliminate Up to $50k tiers for both OP & LP
    • Eliminate $50k to $100k tiers for both OP & LP
    • Add: Up to $100k of liability tier for OP - $4.00; LP - $3.00
    • Change: Over $100k and up to $500k OP & LP tiers to $2.50
    • Add: Over $500k and up to $1MM OP & LP tiers to $2.00
    • Eliminate Over $500k and up to $10MM tiers for both OP & LP
    • Eliminate Over $10MM and up to $15MM tiers for both OP & LP
    • Eliminate Over $15MM tiers for both OP & LP
  • Increase Minimum Fee from $50 to $175 for both OP & LP


Reissue Charges, Credits, and Additional Fees

  • Delete current Refinance Rate – Title Insurance “First Mortgages” section & replace with 75% Refinance Rate. Also change minimum Charge from $50 to $175.
  • Delete current Reissue Title Insurance – Owner’s or Leasehold Policies section & replace with 75% Reissue Rate. Also change minimum Charge from $50 to $175.

As a reminder, the most current version of the ALTA form available in each state for issuance with the applicable version of the ALTA Policy should be used, unless approved by a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter.

These rates have been provided to third-party title production system (TPS) vendors. Please contact your TPS vendor or account services representative to have the new/revised rates implemented in your system.
