This bulletin replaces KS2023002 dated 10/17/2023.

We previously advised that the Kansas Judicial Branches experienced a cyber event, which affected the ability to search Kansas Courts eFiling, which accepts electronically filed documents, and the following:

• Kansas Protection Order Portal, which accepts electronically filed documents.
• Kansas District Court Public Access Portal, which allows searching district court case information.
• Appellate Case Inquiry System, which allows searching appellate court case information.
• Kansas Attorney Registration, which allows searching for an attorney by name or bar number.
• Kansas online marriage license applications; persons can still apply, but the application will not be sent to a district court for processing through the eFiling system.
• Central Payment Center, which operates in the Office of Judicial Administration, will not be able to process disbursements on behalf of district courts.
• Kansas eCourt case management system, which district courts use to process cases.

All courts affected by the October 12 cybersecurity incident have finished updating the Kansas eCourt case management system with new cases and documents filed while the system was offline. Information in the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal is up to date.

The Status of District Court Restoration page now shows all courts have finished working through their paper backlogs.

The issue has been resolved and normal Stewart Title Guaranty Company search and recording requirements can be resumed.
