Explanation

The Data Protection Policy for The Bahamas sets out what personal information is collected and processed by Stewart.  A copy must be provided to every Insured/Policyholder on a transaction.

Underwriting Requirements

Where the liability amount in a proposed transaction is below the threshold approval limit stated in your Underwriting Agreement, you may release to the necessary parties the i) Title Commitment and ii) the Data Protection Policy for The Bahamas.  

Where the liability amount in a proposed transaction exceeds the agreed to threshold stated in your Underwriting Agreement, upon receipt of authorization by a senior Stewart Underwriter for the overlimit amount, you can release to the necessary parties the i) Title Commitment and ii) the Data Protection Policy for The Bahamas.

Any revision to this form requires approval of a Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriter. The underwriting guidelines contained herein have been provided for general reference. The facts, circumstances, and location of the subject property should be considered when determining the issuance of the requested form or endorsement. Please note that all of the forms and endorsements included in this system may not be available in all states. Accordingly, please contact the appropriate Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriting personnel in order to determine availability.
